Lower Tullochgrue, surrounded by the mountainous environment has a calm beauty that any family would love to escape to. The initial proposal called for extending the existing house onto a neighboring steading, but some innovative thinking resulted in a very ambitious and eye-catching solution.

The sloping site served as the starting point for the design of this residential house, which was intended to create a conversation between architecture and landscape.

The semi-detached home with 5.1m tall frameless glass apex corner cantilevers out over the garden, giving the massing a lightness.
