The N70 NIU Project by Fran Silvestre Arquitectos approach is the result of two commitments: the desire to provide a technical answer to a given context (needs program, budget, rules, environment, etc.) and the goal to seek beauty via the created work. Their approach attempts to satisfy, in the broadest sense, all people who actively engage in growth. Clients and users, in particular, but also partners, builders, and designers.
This Valencia's Spain's project deadlines and specific expenses help to enhance the quality of human surroundings, making them more sustainable and healthful.
The beginning point for this housing series is a mix of extruded spaces, with the open sections being the glazed ones. Some works by Jacobsen or Souto de Moura examine a method of progressing.
The model-making process begins with the use of aluminum profiles, a technology that creates an endless number of possibilities. This piece creates a type of chalk laboratory with extremely distinct boundaries.
The N70 is the NIU project's smallest model. The wet areas, which house all of the utilities, separate the day zone from the night zone. A fresh take on a well-known archetype that continues to intrigue us.
